Ngoc’s Cooking Classes

Apart from the joy of meeting the friendly people, most visitors to south-east Asia enjoy the variety and taste of Asian local cuisine. Now you can learn how to cook these unique dishes from Laos, Thailand and Vietnam and still enjoy them when you get home. Phetmany Daomaikhan (better known as ’Ngoc’) learned from her mother, proprietor of the popular Xuanmai Restaurant in central Paksé.

In Southern Laos, visitors can enjoy the variety of both Western and Asian cuisines.Now with Phetmany ‘Ngoc’ Daomaikhan, you can learn how to cook these unique dishes from Laos, Thailand and Vietnam with step-by-step instruction and still enjoy them when you get home.

Ngoc learned her cooking skills from her mother, proprietor of the Xuanmai restaurant in central Pakse. For the ones who are seeking for the authentic taste of the Asian local cuisine when visiting Pakse, this is a good opportunity to actually learn how to cook them with the local instructor.

See and do

  • Choose from two sessions: 9am-12 noon for lunch or 2pm-5pm for dinner.
  • Ngoc will demonstrate each step for preparing and cooking a range of at least three dishes, plus dessert, and ‘students’ can join with ‘hands-on’ participation.
