Southern Laos Marketing Task Force

In 2015, the Southern Marketing Task Force was created. Supported by a government charter, this technical working group brings together representatives of the Department of Information, Culture and Tourism of Champasak (DICT); as well as the Champasak Hotel and Restaurant Association (CHRA); the Champasak Travel Agent Association (CPATA); and Lao Airlines.

Central to the Southern Laos Marketing Task Force (MTF) collaboration, is a shared belief that tourism can bring many benefits both local and regional. The MTF promotes socially equitable, eco-conscious and sustainable tourism, so these benefits can be enjoyed by everyone, without damaging the rich natural environment of the region or forgetting the local culture.
